11/10/2022 0 Comments Switch harvest moon![]() ![]() Harvest Moon: One World will come to the Nintendo Switch in the Americas and Europe in 2020. So while the next Harvest Moon Switch game will be Harvest Moon: One World, the next Bokujou Monogatari/Story of Seasons game will be Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. Natsume had the rights to the Harvest Moon name and began making its own original farming sims using that and inspired by Story of Seasons starting with the Nintendo 3DS’ Harvest Moon: The Lost Valleyin 2014. ![]() Those installments are part of the Bokujou Monogatari series, which have been known as Story of Seasons since XSEED Games took over localizing and publishing them worldwide. There are only some leaves and a 3D, wooden sign.Īs always, it is important to note that the recent Natsume Harvest Moon games are different than the ones that used the name prior to 2014. Harvest Moon: One World will launch this fall. Unlike the Harvest Moon: Light of Hope logo, which offered an image of a lighthouse and a Harvest Sprite home, or the Harvest Moon: Skytree Village logo, which showed off the tree and village, we have no hint at the art direction for this new Harvest Moon Switch game. A new Harvest Moon game is coming to Nintendo Switch, and Natsume is promising a big shake-up for this version of the longrunning farming sim series. Rather, there is a promise of “an all-new engine and graphics” and a logo. In this entry, people will be able to build up farms and grow crops around the world, with Natsume developing and handling publishing duties in North and South America and Rising Star Games taking care of the European publishing duties.Īs is common for new Natsume Harvest Moon games, the announcement was made without any character art, screenshots, or gameplay videos. This time, it will be Harvest Moon: One World. More will doubtless be revealed as the game's 2020 release in Europe draws nearer.Natsume is preparing another Harvest Moon Switch game. ![]() There's not, unfortunately, much more to share just yet Natsume hasn't offered any screenshots or a trailer to accompany its One World announcement, so you'll have to make do with the logo for now. Expect "new and familiar faces, unique villages, and adventurous challenges" along the way. ![]() Harvest Moon: One World, it says, will not only feature an all-new engine and graphics, but a range of new gameplay additions too.Ĭhief of these is an expansion from the hometown focus of earlier games to an experience that plays out across a much wider world, enabling players to explore varied locations ranging from sunny beaches to snowy mountains in their quest for the ultimate beansprout, or whatever. As such, it's encouraging to learn that Natsume will be attempting to shake things up a bit this time around. The Harvest Moon games have struggled to make much of an impact since original series developer Marvelous (now responsible for the similarly styled Story of Seasons) and IP owner Natsume parted ways in 2014. Only an old book provides clues to the agricultural delights of yesteryear, thus beginning another gentle blend of unhurried farm management and village life sim. Release Year Genre Role-Playing, Simulation Developer Natsume Publisher Natsume System Switch Image Format NSP XCI NSZ Game Version 1.0.1 Language English Required firmware 5.1. One World unfolds in some strange vegetable-less timeline where the general populace lives out their existence blissfully unaware of the power of a good cabbage. Rising Star Games and Natsume have revealed that Harvest Moon: One World is in development for Nintendo Switch. Developer Natsume has unveiled Harvest Moon: One World, the latest entry in the long-running farm life series, which is set to arrive on Switch later this year. ![]()
